AC Shunts
Cost optimized low value resistors coaxially mounted. Optimized for AC current measurement up to 100kHz
These AC shunts consist of multiple low ohmic resistors, connected in parallel and coaxially mounted. This setup reduces parasitic AC coupling of the high current circuit and the voltage measuring circuit. The coaxial mount assures compensation of residual induced voltages. Also coupling areas are minimized.
We offer AC Shunts up to 20A with power losses of 2W at maximum. Power loss is minimized to reduce errors induced by thermal drift. The shunt is equipped with two coaxial N-connectors.
